Karen attended La’ James Cosmetology School while apprenticing under Michael Tschantz on her days off. After graduating, she joined Michael Tschantz Salon, where she worked at perfecting her craft for twenty years. Karen has attended numerous Aveda congresses in Minneapolis and New York and the UNITE Global Session in San Diego. Karen has always been interested in the beauty industry and enjoys the variation and creativity involved in working as a stylist. She provides male and female cuts as well as color and highlights. She loves creating short styles on women using razor cutting.

Outside of the salon, Karen enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties, traveling with her husband, reading, and watching films. Karen is a huge animal lover and spends as much time as possible with her dogs Ginger and Jolene.
